Unlike the other realms, Midgard is neither divine nor primordial, but a <strong>created<\/strong>, bounded, and vulnerable space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its name means \u201cmiddle enclosure\u201d or \u201cmiddle earth,\u201d and it reflects not only its position in cosmology but also its condition: Midgard exists between higher forces\u2014gods, giants, and primordial beings\u2014and lives constantly under the tension of fate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Nature and Condition of Midgard<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Midgard is a world that is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Physical and tangible<\/strong>, subject to the laws of nature<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Changing and perishable<\/strong>, marked by the passage of time<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Exposed to pain and death<\/strong>, without promise of permanence<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Protected, yet never truly safe<\/strong>, surrounded by danger<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Its ultimate horizon is the ocean that encircles it, where <strong>J\u00f6rmungandr<\/strong>, the World Serpent, dwells. His body coils around Midgard like a living boundary\u2014at once limit, threat, and reminder that chaos is always near.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Creation and Boundaries<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Midgard was created by the gods from the body of the primordial giant <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/huellasdelpasado.eu\/en\/el-origen-del-universo-cosmologia-nordica\/\">Ymir:<\/a><\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>His flesh became the land<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>His blood, the seas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>His bones, the mountains<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>His skull, the sky<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To protect the new human world, the gods built a wall using <strong>Ymir\u2019s eyebrows<\/strong>, separating Midgard from the wild outer lands inhabited by giants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Norse thought, human civilization is neither natural nor eternal: it is a divine construction, barely sustained against chaos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Relationship with other worlds<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Midgard is connected to <a href=\"https:\/\/huellasdelpasado.eu\/en\/el-origen-del-universo-cosmologia-nordica\/\">Asgard<\/a> by <strong>Bifr\u00f6st<\/strong>, the rainbow bridge, though access is almost exclusively reserved for the gods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is the most exposed realm:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To divine schemes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To the constant threat of giants<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To the breaking of balance during Ragnar\u00f6k<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For this reason, Midgard becomes the main stage of human experience: the place where life unfolds beneath the shadow of the inevitable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Inhabitants<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Midgard is inhabited by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Human beings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Animals and mortal creatures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spirits linked to nature and territory<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>En el centro del cosmos, los humanos ocupan una posici\u00f3n fr\u00e1gil pero tambi\u00e9n esencial. Their presence is a blend of protection, trial, and destiny.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Thor \u2013 Protector of Midgard<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Thor is humanity\u2019s great defender. His relationship with Midgard is ambiguous: he may act as a temporary ally to the gods, yet also as a force preparing collapse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many troubles that ultimately affect the worlds are born from small fractures opened by Loki\u2014poorly sealed promises, betrayed agreements, words spoken at precisely the wrong moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Where Loki passes, chaos seems inevitable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Midgard and Ragnar\u00f6k<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>During the <a href=\"https:\/\/huellasdelpasado.eu\/en\/ragnarok-mitologia-nordica\/\">Ragnar\u00f6k<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Midgard will be devastated<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>J\u00f6rmungandr will rise from the seas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The world will be flooded and destroyed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After the catastrophe, Midgard <strong>will be reborn<\/strong>, and a new humanity will inhabit the earth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Midgard is not only the home of humans\u2014it is also the stage where gods intervene, confront chaos, and test the fragility of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is the only realm where destiny is not contemplated\u2014it is lived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many of the most memorable stories begin or unfold here.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And every adventure becomes an echo of
