Older. In some traditions, he is considered a <strong>lord of the dead.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His story appears in the <strong>Lebor Gab\u00e1la \u00c9renn<\/strong> (The <em>(The Book of the Taking of Ireland)<\/em>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The mythical origin<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to these texts, Donn was one of the sons of <strong>M\u00edl Esp\u00e1ine<\/strong>, leader of the Milesians, considered the mythical ancestors of the Irish people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The arrival of the Milesians<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When the Milesians arrive in Ireland, they confront the <strong>Tuatha D\u00e9 Danann<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both sides agree that the Milesians must move away from the coast and return from the open sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But Donn challenges the Tuatha D\u00e9 Danann:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>he dismisses their power<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>he ignores their warnings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His arrogance shapes his fate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As the Milesians sail away, the druids of the Tuatha D\u00e9 Danann unleash a supernatural storm.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The tempest grows stronger, and Donn\u2019s ship is wrecked before reaching the island.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<style>.kb-image2153_c33738-9f .kb-image-has-overlay:after{opacity:0.3;}<\/style>\n<div class=\"wp-block-kadence-image kb-image2153_c33738-9f\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/huellasdelpasado.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/naufragio-de-donn-tech-duinn.png\" class=\"kb-advanced-image-link\" aria-label=\"naufragio-Donn-mitologia-celta\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/huellasdelpasado.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/naufragio-de-donn-tech-duinn-1024x683.png\" alt=\"Naugragio de Donn. It also includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the end of the journey<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>return<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the passage into the unknown<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not everything invisible is luminous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But neither is it hostile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">One world, many faces<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are no visible gates to Tech Duinn, and no maps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Only stories pointing west\u2026 toward the sea...toward an island not everyone can see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But one that, according to tradition, awaits us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Follow the Footprints<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Visit it today...<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, it is possible to admire Bull Rock and its surrounding waters through coastal boat excursions.
