some traditions, it is said to be governed by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>fairy beings&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>rulers of the Otherworld<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Access to T\u00edr na n\u00d3g varies depending on the tale:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>by crossing the sea&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>through mist<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>by entering sacred hills (<em><a Seems<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the most fascinating aspects of T\u00edr na n\u00d3g is its relationship with time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For those who enter, only days may seem to pass\u2026 but in the human world, years \u2014 even centuries \u2014 have gone by.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This theme appears in one of the most well-known stories of Irish tradition: the tale of Ois\u00edn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ois\u00edn and Niamh: The Journey to T\u00edr na n\u00d3g<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Encounter<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>On the coast of Ireland, where land meets the sea, Ois\u00edn \u2014 hero of the Fianna and son of Fionn mac Cumhaill \u2014 gazed at the horizon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then he saw her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A woman moved across the waters, riding a white horse that did not sink into the sea. Her hair shone like gold in the light of the setting sun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was Niamh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She did not come from the world of men.
